education: Graduated in Environmental Biology at the Leiden university. Self educated as an artist.
debut: Ghostwork for the Dutch Donald Duck Magazine.
breakthrough: Titanic Award for the realistic comic Corn.
inspiration: Hall Foster (Prince Valiant) and Alex Raymond (Rip Kirby).
publications: Ghostwork for Sjors & Sjimmie, Donald Duck, Jan Jans and the Kinderen and Warner Brothers' Looney Tunes Magazine. In 1994 Vano's comic Dave appeared in Sjors and Sjimmie Magazine and in 1997 the comic book series Inspector Diamond is published in Hello You. Under the pseudonym El Gringo he creates the erotic comic De Kleine Dood. Part 1 of the new Bob Evers series Een Vliegtuigsmokkel met Verrassingen is currently running in the Dutch national newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.
